Edmee and Matt’s wedding on May 24th gave me a chance to capture each and every traditional moment that you look forward to as a Chicago wedding photographer. From the walk down the aisle and the vows, to the couple’s exit from the church, to the first dance at the reception, I got to photograph Edmee and Matt at each step of their special day, creating the story of their wedding in images.
The bride prepared for the big day in traditional Chicago style at the famous Drake Hotel on Michigan Avenue, and then the party moved to Lincoln Park for the ceremony at St. Josephat church. The traditional feel of the wedding day was definitely there in the beautiful Catholic church. The reception was held at Nacional 27, a festive and fun venue. The Latin restaurant, night club and ceviche bar added a distinct flavor to the couple’s traditional wedding day.
